Flax takes plant dyes and pigment dyes differently. The sets worth buying look slightly dusty, as if the color is in the fiber and not sprayed on a smooth weave. If the photo looks like a satin slip, it is probably not linen.
Use sage as a layer, not a uniform
A full sage set is beautiful and a little committed. A sage duvet cover over natural sheets is easier to live with, and easier to swap when you want the room lighter. On Amazon, filter the same search for duvet covers if the sheet color is close but not exact.
Photos on this site show the color story. The Amazon grid is where you match the actual swatch, size, and price.

Will sage linen fade?
All dyed flax fades a little, especially in a window. Wash cold, skip bleach, and dry on low. A gentle fade is normal. Stripes of fade mean the cloth sat in direct sun while damp.
Can I mix sage with white cases?
Yes. That is the easiest way to keep the bed from feeling themed. Just wash the sage once on its own first.
